[Bike Check] Sam Dale’s Santa Cruz Nomad

Santa Cruz Bicycles’ latest film shows how Sam Dale sets up his bike to race the Megavalanche or wherever his van takes him.

“I’ve not hit max travel yet,” says Sam Dale after his second day on the bike. “Either I’ve gotta go faster or have a play with the settings.”

While practicing for the 2023 Megavalanche in Alp d’Huez we asked Sam to run us through his new bike and how he likes to set it up. Tire pressure, suspension settings, drivetrain spec, what he puts in his Glovebox and why mixed wheels seem to be the right choice for him. It’s all in there.
