Crankbrothers x Steve Peat Signature Pedals to Launch at Fort William WC

[ad3]

[Press release] Steve Peat and Crankbrothers have enjoyed a long history together, dating back to the original Mallet pedals in 2003. Now, Peaty and Crankbrothers have teamed up to offer a limited edition Steve Peat Signature Mallet DH. The signature pedals not only pay homage to Peaty’s legacy in the sport, but also pay it forward by contributing to the next generation of riders.

The signature pedals, individually numbered and limited to one thousand pairs, will be available for purchase at the Fort William World Cup 3-5 June 2016. Peaty himself will be on-hand to sign autographs and share stories with fans. Following the event, the remaining pedals will be available exclusively through dealers in the United Kingdom.

A portion of proceeds from each pair sold will go to establish the Steve Peat Syndicate Scholarship Fund under the Crankbrothers For Others program. The scholarship fund will enable the SPS to offer support, training, and equipment to exceptional young riders who do not have the financial resources to buy into the program.

“It is great to have such support from Crankbrothers for my SPS riders. We try to give them the best advice and training, so it’s only right to give them the best equipment. These pedals are a great way to help support the program,” said Steve Peat.

“Peaty is an absolute legend, and what better way to celebrate his contributions to the sport than by commemorating the pedals that have been under his feet at every World Cup for over a decade,” said Kellen Trachy, Crankbrothers Global Marketing Manager. “The signature pedals are the perfect way to celebrate Peaty in his final season of racing and support his passion for developing the next generation of riders through the Steve Peat Syndicate.”

About the Steve Peat Signature Mallet DH

The Mallet DH dominates the UCI World Cup Downhill circuit and is the pedal of choice for seven of the top ten racers. The Steve Peat Signature edition features a special double-anodized black and red colourway, with Peaty’s autograph and limited edition serial number laser-etched on one side, and a Union Jack and pint-raising “cheers!” motif laser-etched on the other. The design reflects both the performance-oriented and fun-loving nature of Peaty himself.

The Steve Peat Signature Mallet DH (£134.99) will be released at the Fort William World Cup 3rd-5th June 2016, and available exclusively though dealers in the UK.
