Wide Open, set for July 11-13 in Livigno, has been cancelled.
The interruption of the track construction caused by the Corpo Forestale’s controls, doesn’t allow the completion of the race track, therefore creating serious safety issues for the athletes.
For this reason, APT Livigno and Red Bull have decided to cancel the event.
Luca Moretti, President of APT Livigno has declared: “I am confident in a positive resolution of the incident, considering that APT Livigno requested and received all necessary authorizations and has followed all regulations requested for the building of the track. I am though very disappointed and sadden as I believe that Livigno lost an important chance to show the world how much it is doing for the bike scene, considering the importance of this event on an International level.
