Fort Collins, Colorado (September 28, 2021)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is the worldwide leader in mountain bike advocacy, and the only organization in the U.S. focused entirely on trails and access, for all types of mountain bikers in all parts of the country. Niner bikes has been a staunch advocate for IMBA from the day our company was founded.<\/p>\n

Every year we create a one-of-a-kind custom painted IMBA edition bike to raise funds for this important organization. Raffle tickets to win the 2021 edition are now available. All proceeds go directly to IMBA to fund trail projects around the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince I began this company more than a decade ago, Niner has been a staunch supporter of IMBA,\u201d<\/em> said Chris Sugai, founder and president of Niner Bikes. \u201cFrom \u2018Day 1,\u2019 our mission has been to make riding on dirt better, period. One of the ways we do that is by advocating for places to ride. We’re committed to dirt, in every sense of the phrase.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Only two of these will ever be made. One for the raffle winner\u00a0and one for the wall in Niner’s office\u00a0showroom. This custom painted JET 9 RDO was designed in-house in Fort Collins, Colorado\u00a0by Senior Graphic Designer Nate Adams and painted by Black Magic in Portland, Oregon. With intricate topographic lines and IMBA theme logos throughout, this bike is a functional work of art that broadcasts\u00a0support for trail building and mountain bike trail access around the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would love to see mountain bike trails be as common as ballfields. That\u2019s a very tall goal but it\u2019d be great if most communities had trails right in their backyards,\u201d<\/em> says IMBA\u2019s executive director, Dave Wiens. \u201cNot every community can have backcountry trails, but some can have a bike park the same way you\u2019d have a skate park, something for people to get out on.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The 2021 IMBA mountain bike from Niner is dressed in a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain, FOX 34 SC Factory fork, Industry Nine wheels, Schwalbe tires, and Race Face cockpit components. The frame is our newly redesigned JET 9 RDO, with a trunnion mount rear shock, progressive and adjustable geometry, internal cable routing, and stout, Enduro MAX Black Oxide pivot bearings.<\/p>\n
