The new pedals take a relatively unique approach in terms of their shape and borrow some ideas from predecessors as well. I&#8217;ll be putting these to the test over the coming months, so you can look forward to a long term review at some point. They thread in from the other side, so if they do get banged up from rock strikes they can be pulled out easily and replaced. Many pedal makers make a point to achieve a more convex shape and while the topic is much debated, PNW feels that their approach makes for a little less strain on the foot for added comfort on long rides.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-280050\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619-750x500.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.mtb-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/IMC_0619-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our set came in a few grams under the claimed weight at 441 grams, which is about what you&#8217;d expect from a high performance pedal with an aluminum body and a chromoly axle. It&#8217;s accompanied by another sealed bearing and a roller bearing.
