Protezioni POC vpd

Ho acquistato le suddette protezioni morbide autoindurenti nell'esoterico materiale vpd, per portarmele nello zaino nei giri più tecnici...
sulla funzionalità non ho niente da eccepire, le ho provate oggi e stanno al loro posto, non danno eccessivamente fastidio, insomma sono ok!
C'è pero' un particolare che mi lascia perplesso, per non dire esterrefatto: sul loro manualetto di istruzioni c'è scritto udite udite di non lavarle con acqua! Viene consigliato anzi di passare uno straccio "inumidito" con un po di sapone!
Ma stiamo scherzando? Già oggi dopo una sola discesa erano fradice e infangate, se non le posso lavare nel giro di un mese puzzeranno di carogna! C'è qualcuno che sa dirmi perchè questa raccomandazione, e se effettivamente si rovinano a lavarle o è un po come le revisioni ogni 8 ore delle forcelle fox?

Rispondo al mio stesso thread perchè nel frattempo ho scritto alla POC:

Hello, I've just bought a set of vpd protections for my bike rides (elbows and knees). So far they are doing well, but I wonder how am I supposed to clean them?
I mean, after a couple rides they get soaked in sweat and covered with mud: surely not something that you would clean with a wet rag as is suggested in the manual.
Why can't I just wash them with water ( leave them soaked in a bowl of warm water and soap, sink and leave in the air to dry) ?

Hi[FONT=&quot]! I've seen that in some of the instructions this old recommendation hasn't been omitted, but luckily, its false! We recommend handwash to maximize the life time of the product. This usually takes away the smell. You can use the lightest/most gentle program on your washing machine as well, often called "fine wash"or "handwash" when badly needed. The VPD material will not be affected at all by the washing procedure. It is mostly the print that could be affected. All our Joint products from last season are also Polygiene treated to minimize the smell from the start. Good luck![/FONT]

Quindi chi come me ha queste protezioni non si faccia intimidire dalle assurde raccomandazioni del manuale e le lavi pure!

Come ti trovi con le protezioni Poc?
In particolare cosa pensi delle knee pads?
Nel corso del tempo hanno ceduto molto a livello di larghezza?
Sono in procinto di effettuare l'acquisto e sono molto indeciso tra S ed M.
La prima mi sembra strettina e la seconda grandina....
