[Bike Check] Duncan Riffle’s Santa Cruz Nomad

//

We recently got a chance to go for a nice little shred with Duncan Riffle in his back yard in Santa Barbara, CA. At the time, we got to snoop around and gather some shots of his new blacked out/SRAM’d out Nomad that he christened that day. However, Duncan asked us to wait a few days on a bike check because his bike had a very special new part on it. We obliged – here’s his new whip.

Solo Air Pike, Monarch plus Debonair, and a Reverb. Would you expect anything less?

The New Direct mount X-Sync that we had to stay tight lipped on. We can’t wait to snag one.

The only white bits are the grips and saddle. That won’t last.

Tidy, but ominous front end.

Carbon Roam 60’s. Light and resillient.

Mostly XX1 drivetrain. Duncan had to run the X01 cassette so it’d be more black!

First day on the bike was a really good one.
