Industry Nine: Now Compatible With Shimano’s Micro Spline

[Press Release] – Industry Nine is excited to announce our partnership with Shimano to offer Micro Spline compatible freehubs. As the first North American hub manufacturer to receive license, we will support our customers interested in Shimano’s new XTR M9100 group and any subsequent products that may use the Micro Spline freehub profile. As with all Industry Nine hub components, we will produce the freehubs at our facility in Asheville, NC.

Our in-house engineering and manufacturing equip us with the resources to respond quickly to new product demands as the industry continues to evolve – if our customers ask for it, we will do everything we can to deliver. Industry Nine will be offering Micro Spline freehubs as an option on all of our current mountain bike wheelsets and hubs, and as a service component for any existing Torch series mountain hub. Micro Spline will be available to ship by the end of 2018.

  • Compatible with existing Industry Nine Torch series mountain hubs.
  • Industry Nine is honored to be the first North American hub manufacturer to be officially licensed to offer Micro Spline.
  • Availability and pricing to be announced by the end of the year.

“We are happy to build on our relationship with Shimano and flattered to be one of the few brands offered a license for Micro Spline. This partnership allows our brand to continue offering all major axle and drivetrain specs – which riders have come to expect from Industry Nine.”  – Jacob McGahey, Vice President
