RockShox Updates Lyrik, Pike & more with Charger 2 and Debonair

Today RockShox releases the new Lyrik, thus explaining all of the athletes with Red forks at the early races lately (don’t worry, it’s available in black)…Additionally, they’ve updated the Pike, Yari and Deluxe shock line and also introduced a fender plus some other bits. There’s a slew of information for you to pick over below, but here’s the short and sweet…

Debonair for forks – larger volume negative spring and a re-designed air spring shaft make for lighter off the top action with bountiful support in the mid-stroke. The updated air spring will be available aftermarket.

Charger 2 Damper – The new Charger 2 damper features external low AND high speed compression adjustment, in addition to external rebound adjustment. With improved sensitivity and a lighter weight, the Charger 2 is available aftermarket to retrofit to existing forks.

New offsets – All forks will be available in 27.5/29″ wheel sizes for Boost spacing only, but will feature 37mm and 46mm offsets in 27.5″ and 42mm and 51mm offsets for 29″

Fenders and updated Deluxe rear shock line – Lastly, RockShox announced a new fender to play nice with their forks as well as minor updates to the rear shocks, including a refined shaft surface treatment and expanded rebound adjustments.

RockShox Super Deluxe RC3

RockShox Super Deluxe rewrote the rules for rear shocks and now it’s rewriting them again. Changes to the interior surface improve lubrication and accelerate piston movement, so tires stay planted on the ground. Refined rebound damping regulates shaft speed, enhancing rider control and increasing confidence through corners and following high-speed hits. There’s also an expanded range of rebound adjustment, near perfect steps between clicks and a middle adjustment that’s centered between open and closed.
