[First Look] Marin Bikes Wolf Ridge

/

[ad3]

We just stopped into the Marin booth at Sea Otter to check out their new Wolf Ridge. It’s a 29″ 160mm bike utilizing the same Darrell Voss designed “NAILD R3ACT- 2Play” suspension platform that the new Polygon Square One EX9 is based around. The wild looking new suspension design is drawing loads of attention and the buzz is that it’s quite a game changer. Said to climb like a hardtail and descend like a DH bike…

.

According to Marin:

Naild’s R3ACT – 2 Play system has unique core kinematics which manage the inertia of acceleration loads. The system does not require platform/lockouts from external devices on any travel applications, even the 160mm travel of the Wolf Ridge. A custom kinematic was developed with Naild to ensure that the Wolf Ridge would have the pedaling prowess previously unattainable in a long travel bike.
