Cane Creek announce Coil Helm Fork and more…

Cane Creek is already dropping an update to their Helm fork – unsurprisingly, it’s a coil option. So far we’ve seen a new Push coil spring kit while Ohlins and MRP have also jumped on board. It seems to be all the rage for mid travel forks. Additionally, Cane Creek have launched a new brake and a super low stack height headset. Check out the press release below…

[Press Release] – Asheville, NC – August 30, 2017

.

Cane Creek Cycling Components has announced three new products at this year’s Eurobike International Cycling Expo – HELM Coil 27.5, a coil-sprung version of the company’s popular HELM suspension fork; El Chulo edition eeBrakes, a limited edition color-way of the ultra-light brakes; and the Slamset headset, a premium headset with a stack-height as low as 2mm.

Cane Creek will also produce a new version of their Ergo Control bar ends, which the company has not sold since 2015.

“Cane Creek has always been about giving riders product that allows them to ride the way they want to ride,” said Brent Graves, President and CEO of Cane Creek. “There are riders who love the unmatched traction of a coil fork and people who prefer the infinite adjustability of an air fork, now they have both options from Cane Creek. Likewise, there are riders who love the performance and light weight of the eeBrakes, but they want to express themselves a little bit and show some color. Giving riders options to ride their bike their way is what these products – and all of Cane Creeks products – are all about.”

With the addition of the El Chulo eeBrakes, HELM Coil 27.5 fork and Slamset headset, Cane Creek has now launched 10 new products in 2017 alone, including the original HELM Air 27.5 fork and the critically acclaimed DBair IL shock.

HELM Coil 27.5

Coil confidence is being rediscovered by enduro riders all over the world. Fork chassis weight and overall bicycle weight have decreased over the last few years, creating a renaissance in coil sprung suspension products.

HELM Coil 27.5 is optimized for 130mm to 160mm of travel, with the ability to be internally adjusted by changing the location of the spring perch [coil piston] on the travel-indexed compression rod. This procedure requires no additional parts.

El Chulo Edition eeBrakes

Retaining the same renowned stopping power and ultra-light weight of the eeBrakes, the El Chulo edition adds a splash of color to your bike on the way to the podium. Anodized in a blue, gold and silver color-way, these brakes will be produced in a single, limited run in regular mount pairs (front and rear) only.

Orders will be limited to August 30 through September 15, 2017 with delivery in November 2017.

Slamset

The Slamset is a premium headset developed for riders seeking to lower their handlebars to stack heights as low as 2mm without compromising bearing seal and proper preload. The headset also includes Cane Creek’s new Hellbender bearing – a heavy-duty stainless steel sealed bearing designed to withstand the most extreme riding conditions.
