[Press Release] – Thanks for everything, Laurie! After 6 excellent and successful years as a rider for the MS Mondraker team, the Brit and Mondraker have decided to go their separate ways after enjoying an excellent and successful relationship.
Laurie Greenland has given the brand the most World Cup podiums since joining the MS Mondraker team in 2016, but the Englishman will leave the team for the 2022 season.
After 6 years of close collaboration with the brand and the team, the 2015 Junior World Champion will not line up under the iconic MS pits from next season. Having first signed in 2016 following his junior title, Greenland has secured one of his best elite results to date by earning an impressive silver medal at the UCI World Championships in Val di Sole, where behind team rider Danny Hart, he helped create a historic milestone for the sport, as the three podium positions were shared by Mondraker riders. The first complete podium lockout for any DH mountain bike brand or team.
From that silver medal at the 2016 World Championships, Greenland would go on to fly the new Summum and Summum Carbon to notable results including World Cup podiums in Lenzerheide (2017.4th), Leogang (2018, 3rd), Val di Sole (2018, 2nd), Vallnord (2018, 4th), Les Gets (2019, 3rd) and Val di Sole (2019) where he finished 1st with his first UCI World Cup victory. 2021 also saw him on the podium in 2 World Cup races, with a strong 3rd in Maribor and 5th in Lenzerheide.
Other prestigious podiums for the Englishman include his victories in the iXS European Cup in Maribor in 2018 and Pila in 2019, as well as his splendid second place in the Red Bull Hardline 2021. Undoubtedly results that confirm Laurie’s great skills and her great competitive ability.
