The New Commencal T.E.M.P.O.

Commencal gave us a preview of it a few days ago in the video with Hugo Frixtalon. Now the TEMPO is a reality and the Andorran brand is revealing it to us in every detail.

.

[Press release] – Here is the TEMPO, our Trail with a small travel. Efficient in pedaling. Playful as few. Ultra dynamic both on the flat and downhill. 29″ wheels, 125mm of rear travel and 140mm of front travel. New VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM kinematics that use a virtual rotation point to combine dynamism and comfort. Geometry designed to obtain pedaling performance without sacrificing downhill potential.

A NEW ERA BEGINS!

The fixed pivot point is gone, the virtual pivot point has arrived. The VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM offers endless new perspectives. By working on the movements of the chain, on the variations in the position of the virtual rotation point and on the progression curve, we have achieved the objective of this TEMPO. An extremely efficient pedaling bike. A dynamic push bike that picks up speed quickly when you pump and play with the terrain. A bike that filters out small bumps and stays comfortable on the bigger ones.

AMAURY PIERRON, KILIAN BRON OR HUGO FRIXTALON, ARE YOU FAMILIAR?

Here’s what they think about their TEMPO:
It makes you want to look for any ground movement to push and pick up speed. – Hugo Frixtalon
A really efficient pedaling bike. But at the same time the most playful, dynamic and compact of all my bikes. – Kilian Bron
A bike that pedals well and is especially fun going downhill! – Amaury Pierron

SUITABLE FOR ALL SITUATIONS

The geometry of the TEMPO has been designed to make it an efficient and playful bike, able to guarantee confidence when the going gets tough. The saddle angle of 76.6° is straight enough to be effective uphill and at the same time comfortable when pedaling on the flat. The chainstays have different lengths depending on the size of the bike: 435mm for sizes S/M and 440mm for sizes L/XL. 29″ wheels for long distances, grip, comfort and climbing.

FAITHFUL TO OUR PRINCIPLES

Aluminum, always and forever. With us, no plastic. In addition to offering optimal performance, aluminum is recyclable and can be reused. The EWS and DH World Cup victories of our frames are proof of this.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Because we all like to be able to ride with peace of mind, TEMPO uses an expansion system on the thru-axles to prevent any slack while riding. UDH dropouts allow for perfect alignment, protection of the derailleur, compatibility with all brands of derailleurs and availability almost worldwide.

CABLE ROUTING INTEGRATED IN THE HEAD TUBE

Ideal for cleaning the frame, to avoid infiltrations (mud, water…) and to avoid breaking the frame in a high-stress area.

PROTECTIONS ON DELICATE AREAS

Located in strategic points of the frame, they have been designed to limit impacts, noise and splashes. Chainstays, seat stays, down tube, all these particularly exposed areas are perfectly protected.

FEEL THE RHYTHM

With the TEMPO, the pleasure of pedaling is rediscovered. Whatever the trails and conditions, you’ll always want to go a little further. And when the descent comes, you know you can count on her, even in the toughest spots. You’ll play with the terrain, each squeeze becoming an incentive to pick up speed or jump. Push it to the max, you will feel the thrill of driving. In short, you will be in perfect TIME.
