The most obvious feature of the new Occam is the asymmetrical design of the frame. During the chassis development process, Orbea was inspired by the shape of the Rallon and wanted to find the perfect balance between stiffness, strength and light weight.

The damper adjustments are easily accessible when pedaling. Slightly shifting the bottle to the left side of the frame helps to offset the weight of the drivetrain and provides convenient access for drinking, especially for left handed riders. Small details like those that improve the usability of the bike on the climbs.

The frame of the new Occam is available in both aluminum and carbon. The aluminum frame is hydroformed and has smooth welds, so that the appearance is as nice as that of the carbon version, which is built with high performance OMR fibers and with an advanced molding process by Orbea. The combination of high modulus and high strength carbon fibers creates an unparalleled combination in terms of weight:stiffness:strength.

Geometry

According to Orbea, the new Occam is faster, more versatile and rides better than previous models. The reach has been increased by almost 2cm, the head tube angle is more slack, the seat angle more vertical, the chaintstays longer (from 435mm to 440mm) and the bottom bracket slightly lower.

Customizable

The new Occam is available on MyO to customize your bike by choosing your preferred options for fork and shock absorber, carbon wheels or aluminum, brakes, saddles, etc. Also here you can also choose the color of your bike with an infinite combination of colors, both glossy and opaque.
